- For more than a decade, California Law has allowed coalitions of unions and employers to carve-out alternative ways to deliver benefits rather than using the current state workers’ compensation system. These carve-outs were meant to allow you to alter and therefore avoid the current adversarial processes that permeate your workers’ compensation program and individual claims.

- We will perform the following:
- Actively assist in the negotiations between union and management to provide treatment expertise, medical-legal panels, and alternative dispute professionals.
- Complete the carve-out application and file with DWC
- Assist in the creation of an alternative dispute resolution system
- Provide Ombudsmen, Mediators, Arbitrators, restriction of attorney involvement and restructuring of fees, if any
- Develop a medical provider network that allows the injured workers meaningful choice, yet which is comprised of physicians who have demonstrated a high level of expertise in the treatment of work-related injuries and the ability to write objective medical reports
- Provide a Turn-key-network of providers to treat participants in the carve-out
- Possible creation of additional alternative benefits delivery
- Maximize and expand your return-to-work programs
- Support your joint safety committee
